Require minimal issue description

Is there any way to define and enforce a minimal entry in the issue description field? Could this be done in a custom workflow definition?

What do you mean by a minimal entry? You can make the field mandatory, if that's what you are after. Unfortunately, you cannot have javascript hacks on Cloud.

A required non-blank field is what we need. Your suggestion for a mandatory field sounds like a good solution. Javascript method is not essential.

Where is the best place to learn about field options? Perhaps in the workflow designer area?
