Resizing durations on the timeline bar stopped working

I have a team-managed project with a timeline.

I added a custom field for stat dates.

I added some issues without start/end dates.

I clicked on the timeline and it created a bar for me with some dates around where I clicked. I dragged the edges of the bar to make it as long as I wanted. Fantastic!

I then added some links to show the dependencies with a few clicks. Easy!

I noticed one of the tasks needed to take longer. But now when I click anywhere on the bar, it lets me move it but does not let me resize it. Something I did somewhere at sometime magically disabled a feature that I was using. And I have no idea what, where, when, why, or how. To change the duration of a task now, I have to open the issue and select dates in the issue. This is insanely painful when trying to align dozens of issues.

Literally five minutes ago it was incredibly easy. Now it is agony.

QUESTION: Why? For the love of God, Montressor - WHY?

Removing the links does not help, But refreshing the page does. I would test if merely clicking to a different window (i.e. to type this question) and then coming back to this window fixes it, but now I don't know how to recreate the problem.

SOLUTION: Refresh the page (or possibly just go to a different tab and come back). Now, magically, the cursor pops up when you hover either end of the bar to allow resizing the again.
