In the admin Resolutions page (Admin -> Issue Attributes -> Resolutions)
Fixed (Default) - A fix for this issue is checked into the tree and tested.
Done - GreenHopper Managed Resolution.
we have one more customised reolution filed"completed" and dont want to user "Done" in resolution?
Is it safe to delete the done filed? It is creating confusion for user to select either done or completed.
you can use this on closed transition to show what resolutions you want to display on that
jira.field.resolution.include =1,2(id's of resolutions)
check this for more information
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Workflow+Properties
Fixed is used if you fix for example a software code. Done and completed is used in tasks that have to be done or are completed at a certain point.
If you delete Done you might end up with already closed issue which then have no resolution. So if you want to delete it make sure it is not used in any issue.
What you also could do to get rid of Done ist to define in your workflows which Resolutions are allowed by using workflow properties (jira.field.resolution.exclude). See here for details
