The resolution field will become required if you add it to a screen and then associate that screen with the transition that takes the issue to the closed status.

Sorry, the Field name called "Resolution is"  to be mandatory while closing the bug issue type ticket

Why have you created a second resolution field?

Why are you not using the standard resolution field that Jira looks at to determine whether issues are resolved or not?

Hi @Vara Prasad

You can use the built-in Resolution field provided by Jira as suggested by @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-

Else, if you still want to use your own custom field 'Resolution is' also, you can set it as mandatory in the 'Validators' for the transition link connecting the Closed status.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Vamsi

No, you should never make it mandatory.  If you do, you will have to create resolved issues and you will never be able to make them unresolved.

You should however, set a resolution when you close an issue, so that Jira treats the issue as resolved.
