Resources on the server are not being loaded properly?

Thomas Knight January 30, 2018

When we try to link issues, we get the loading wheel forever.

Some resources are not being pulled in. On our production JIRA, it is missing the highlighted resource entirely:

Screenshot is from our test JIRA.

We suspect this is due to authentication in some capacity, as this would explain why some resources on the same machine are not being pulled in when an iframe is created.

How can we further debug and fix this linking issue?

Hi Thomas,

First, we will need to understand the architecture of your JIRA.

  1. What is the difference between your Production JIRA and Test JIRA?
  2. Is there any type of Proxy configured on your Production JIRA?
  3. How about the firewall?

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure the filesystem permission is set correctly. You can refer to JIRA KB for the steps to set the permission correctly.
  2. On the developer tools from the web browser, if you open the Network tab, you will be able to see what is happening when during the loading wheel.
  3. If you do not see any HTTP request failing over there, then you can look at the log files if there is anything helpful.
