Rest search with key

I have multiple projects in a jira instance. Is it possible to search for a ticket with only the numeric characters and not the project id.

instead is using xxx-3088 is it possible to search all projects for any ticket that has 3083?

@Benny Unfortunately there is not a way to do a wild card search on the key field through the API.

@Brant Schroeder, Unfortunately i figured that out the hard way. What I did to resolve the issue if the user only entered a numeric value was to append the project key to the numeric value and check every project.
