Is there any way of restarting specific jira services like the ones listed below:

  1. com.atlassian.jira.internal.mail.services.MailProcessorJobRunner
  2.  com.atlassian.jira.internal.mail.services.MailPullerJobRunner

This services hangs and our emails aren't processed anymore.

The only workaround is to restart the jira instance. It has major impact.

@Pedro Felgueiras

Definitely restarting JIRA should be the last option.

What is the issue you are having? Is it email related? If yes did you try to purge the email queue?

Hi @Tinker Fadoua

It's related to email but it's the incoming email not the outgoing email.

Are you emails being delayed? or you don't receive them at all?

I will need your patience as my questions will sound annoying however it is the only way to troubleshoot:

  1. Are you using other Atlassian Tools and getting your emails without issues?
  2. Did email ever work in JIRA or not?
  3. Based on your answer in question 2, if yes what change you made before receiving emails stopped completely? If no then may be there is a misconfiguration
  4. Can anyone trace the emails where they get stuck?

Best,

Fadoua

1 - I'm using other atlassian tools, but they aren't email intensive as Jira.
2 - Yes, email normally works. some times out of nowhere it stop working.

3 - We didn't do any changes but I can't grantee that jira can always connect with the mail server.

4 - I think it will be a hard task for our IT team

@Pedro Felgueiras

Thank you for answering my questions!

JIRA Admin, Mail Server Admin and Network Team should work on this issue.

Since you mentioned it is a hard task for your IT team, please click here and open a support ticket with Atlassian. Don't forget to include you support.zip file so that they can take a look at  your logs.

Best,

Fadoua
