Restarting the db do that require to retart the Jira DataCenter Instance ?

Hi,

Our Jira datacenter intance (release 8.5.x) is connected to a PostGreSql 9.6 db.

We plan to stop and start the db (required time < 10 seconds), do we have also to stop/start the Jira instance or Jira is able to manage this temporary lost of connection and to get back connected to the db ?

@Jean-Christophe Rase , Assuming you have only the one DB server. You will want to shut down Jira before restarting the DB. The downside out weighs any upside.
