Restore Automation for Jira Server scripts

Pavel Wasserbauer October 12, 2021

Dear Comunity,

we had a situation where our server was infected by malware and we lost it. We have a bakup of database and Application folder of Jira server. The restoration was successful until the we wanted to restore all Automation scripts.

After reinstalling the Automation for Jira, just a few (1 or 2 out of 40) we found in settings.

Where the scripts are located? Is there a restoration procedure we should follow?

Thanks for help!

I did restore the database. I also thought that it will restore the scripts with it, but i found just a few.

Restoration procedure I took:

* created blank database

* installed fresh Jira Software instance

* replaced blank database with restored one

* stored attachmekts from Application folder

* installed Jira Automation add-on

How did you do this "restoration"?

I ask because Automation settings live in the database, so if you restored the database, you would have got all of them back, even if you didn't have automation installed before restoring.
