Restore JIRA comments? (User accidentally clicks "cancel")

We've had a few users type out SUPER LONG AND DETAILED comments and then use the preview button to make sure everything is formatted properly... and then they click "cancel" to get out of the preview mode... AND then they see that there comment is gone.

Are comments stored anywhere before they are 100% saved? The user tried clicking the "back" button and the first paragraph of his comment showed up... but nothing else.

The comments are not saved at the moment. You will have to raise a feature request with Atlassian.
