Restrict a JIRA user to a specific view within a project

Hi, we are using a single project to manage multiple streams of work with multiple teams.  One team wants to invite an external contractor to colloborate on the kanban board.  Can the external contractor access/view be limited to a filter?  For example, the external contractor can only see tasks that have a component = "work stream 3" ?

You can grant access to a board/filter to certain people only, but you can not restrict the access to a specific component only on that same board except if it displays the component ="Work Stream 3" only  and nothing else.

Thanks for your response.  Confirming, I can restrict an external contractor to a specific board only.  How do I configure this within JIRA, is it setup as a role perhaps ?
