Restricting Assign issues permission based on Issuetype

I need restrict Assigning all issuetype tickets permissions only to particular group, but for sub-tasks that should not be restricted.

Natively, this isn't possible within the same Project.

One alternative is to use Automation to manage this?

For example...

• If an issue is Assigned
• And the Issue Type is not Sub-task
• And Assignee is not in Group A
• Then un-assign the issue
• And let the user know that user cannot be an Assignee of a non-Sub-task

Alternatively, I'd look for an App which allows this via scripting and/or extended functionality on the Marketplace
