SAML bypass for Jira on prem

Hi,

i tried to configure the following guide: (after configuring SAML with Okta)

In Postman when i use GET all i receive back are null(s) e.g  "sso-url": null

Also, configured https with this guide: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/running-jira-applications-over-ssl-or-https-938847764.html

Trying to understand how to troubleshoot this issue in order to configure 

  "allow-saml-redirect-override": true

Hi Tom!

You tagged this post as "jira-server" - the links you refer to above are only applicable for Data-Center. Jira DC ships with a basic SAML integration, Server does not.

For Server you generally need a 3rd party plugin likes one of these: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=saml

It would be useful if you share which plugin you are using, as the steps to bypass SAML is different.

If you use our plugins,  then are two ways of doing bypass:

• Access via Special URL: https://<jira-baseurl>/login.jsp?nosso (see more details)
• change config via REST API see this KB Article
