SMTP auth fail

i configure smtp server with OFFICE365 account, check status is ok, but when i try to send email it doesn't work

 

log report that it use an incorrect usernaname (tha name of server where JIRA is installed) and not the username that i have configured.

It sounds like Office365 is setup in a way that restricts which machines or addresses can send mail from your domain. Since it isn't looking at the username you entered, I suspect there is another setting within Office365 administration that has to yet be configured.

I would recommend taking a closer look at this blog post: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/exchange/2016/03/29/important-notice-for-office-365-email-customers-who-have-configured-connectors/

It walks your Office365 admin through some steps that might be needed in order for that specific SMTP host to route/handle mail from Jira.
