Hi,

I'm newbie in XRAY so maybe I'm asking a dummy question.

I want to link the same jira test issue to several XRAY repositories, but when I put the issue into one of the repository it desappears from the other and so on.

As you can see in the picture attached, I have several repositories in my project. In the picture you can see I have 304 tests (jira issues)  in the folder Nightlies for repository 20.12.00.

If I try to link one of these 304 tests to folder Nightlies for repository 20.12.00_prueba_alvaro too, the POST request returns OK but the test dissapear from original repository (20.12.00)image.png.

So, May I have the same issue in several repositories at same time or I have to duplicate every test issue for each repository?

Many thanks in advance and best regards,

Álvaro.

Hi Álvaro,

a Test Repository belongs to a project, so each project has implicitly its own Test Repo.

A given Test is in the Test Repository "assigned" to the project the Test belongs to.

The Test Repositoruy is used to organize Tests by their semantics, for example; it's not meant to be a organization where you manage the results and the tests for a given version of the SUT.

There's a different concept though, which the Test Plan and the Test Plan's Board.

If you're trying to organize the Tests from a execution and planning perspective, then you should use Test Plans and their Board; a Test Plan has implicitly one Board.

In sum, you should use Test Plans, as many as it makes sense (please see this and especially this

Regards,

Sergio
