Same status modification across different workflows

Deligkaris Kosmas February 13, 2017

I have a peculiar situation happening....

I have defined 4 different workflows, one for each issue type of project X.

I have made one workflow scheme, where each issue type is assigned to the specific workflow. I have also assigned the workflow scheme to project X.

However, when I edit the first status ('create') in one of those workflows, all the other workflows are changed as well. I am not sure why this happens, can someone help?

Status are shared objects, not per-workflow.  Your four workflows share them, so when you edit it, the others are affected.  Have a look in Admin -> Issues -> Status to see the list.

Hello Nic, I have the same issues, I just imported a workflow from the marketplace but other statuses associated also changed.

Is there a way to revert it back ? or can we delete the downloaded workflow without impacting other statuses?

You can just delete a workflow (if it's not used) and it won't touch your status

The status is linked to the workflow, not part of it, and the delete does not want to touch things that might be used by others.  It's annoying that the import doesn't see it that way.

There is no problem here, just a misunderstanding that status are shared objects.

i solved my problem

if you copy the workflow and inactive it and you can change the status and the active workflow is change.

OK, so I will just define new statuses that will go to different workflows, thanks!
