Scaling JIRA (server) - Best Practices recommendations?

Hiren Trivedi

Hello Friends,

We are using 7.11 version of JIRA (server) with about 50 users, integrated with Confluence (server). We are planning to scale it to almost entire company of 400+ users, along with GitHub Integration. Both JIRA & Confluence are hosted on separate AWS EC2.large servers with a separate DB server.

I would like to get your recommendations on some of the best practices to ensure best performance & availability, and any pitfalls to avoid.

Any pointers would be truly helpful !

Thanks !

HI @Hiren Trivedi

Welcome to the Community!

Please make sure you should focus on below points...

1. It should only use support platforms.

2. System Requirements like system memory, processor, Heap memory.

3. Work on the antivirus, that may affect the server performance.

4. Check the database monitoring ..connection pool size and all.

5. Check the Instance Health.

You can consider other points like .. Custom fields, Workflows
