I have multiple jira cloud for sheets issue imports in different sheets, normally scheduled to be refreshed hourly. As of last week, these refreshes are not happening. Is there any wider issue I'm missing with the plugin? The thing is that this was all working smoothly for months and months before last week.

Hi Doug,

I understand that the Jira Cloud addon for Google Sheets is no longer running the set schedule to import data.  While I do not believe this is a system wide problem, I did find at least one other support case where this was recently reported.  In that particular situation we found that the Scheduled Auto-Refresh may not work/Fail because the Google Auth tokens we had for that account seem to have "Insufficient Scope".

In that case the solution was to disconnect the Jira Cloud site and then reconnect it.

  • Open the Add-on when inside Google Sheets.
  • Click on the Menu on the top-left of the add-on Pop-up.
  • Select Disconnect Site. (This will log you out)
  • You can connect back which will log you back into the add-on app.
  • At this time if you go SCHEDULE and Edit, it will ask to authorize your account.
  • Once done, set the Hourly Schedule and it should start polling every hour from then on. (or whatever schedule you desire)

The insufficient authentication scope is a Google side error that may be caused if the google account token has expired after being active for a long time.

However if this is not the solution to your problem here, please let me know.  I suspect we will need to create a support ticket on your behalf to be able to investigate this in more detail here.

@Andy Heinzer

Unfortunately the above didn't work.

How else can we get scheduled auto refresh working for this add-on?

We need the sheet to update every hour automatically.

@Ian _I_ - Aware I recommend that you reach out to one of the site-admins for your Jira Cloud site and ask them to create a support ticket over in https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ you can also ask them to include your email as a requested participant.  This is not something that you can do yourself though because your account is not a site-admin.  We need someone with that role from your Cloud site so that we can attain the needed consent to investigate this further.
