Screen Scheme not showing all fields on board when imported from CSV file

Hi

I have imported several issues into my project using the wizard from a csv file, all the fields show when I was mapping them into my project but not all of the fields are showing on my tasks on the board.

I have setup a screen and a screen scheme for my issue which has been linked to my project, when looking at the board settings for the issue type the Screen is set as the issue I have imported but the Field Configuration is set as a default field configuration.  If I set these both to my issue type screen I created it shows all the fields but I only want the screen set for that certain issue & default when any other issue type is created.

When you import do you need to set something so it imports using the screen scheme  created or is there something I have missed? and this is why it doesn't show all my imported fields?  

Any help is appreciated as i'm new to Jira.

Hi @Jodie Sleeman 

Can I clarify the need here:

  • You have imported several issues in Jira via the CSV Importer - is this the one via Filters > Advanced Issue Search, or the Jira Admin importer via Jira Settings > System > External System Import?
  • You have a Screen / Screen Scheme / Issue Type Screen Scheme - how are these related to the import?

Schemes and Imports are two different things.

If you're using the Admin CSV Importer, you can upload field data into any field - whether it's on your screen or not. Screens visualise fields, but issues can have data in any field, including those not visible on the screen.

To see the data on the issue view - the field itself will need to be on the screen. You'll need to add this on via the appropriate settings.

Hi

I've imported from Create > Import Issues, which has took me to the bulk import.

I've got all the fields setup on my project for this issue type but it doesn't show all the fields on the task when I import, but if I create an issue it shows all the fields.

If I set my default screen to my issue type screen I have created it shows all the fields, but when I change it back to default most of the information for the fields are not present.

I wasn't sure if when you import it use a default screen and not the issue type screen scheme I have associated with the issue type and that's why I'm getting this issue?

Just wondered if there is a work around? as after I've imported the bulk of my tasks, I want to use different screens for the different issue types for my project.
