Script Runner added in postfunction started adding a delay in its functionality

The post function which contains scriptrunner code to copy a project to another is now creating a delay in its working. It creates a creates a new project and copies existing schemas as functionality says but after many long hours. Don't understand why and how delay is coming.

What can be done to resolve this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

I can confirm we have had some issues with our service recently which has caused scripts not to run as expected which can be viewed on Status Page located here and this has likely been the cause of your issues.
