ScriptRunner for Jira DC - Description above field

Hey team,

I've been trying a few things to see whether I can move a question (similar to a JSD offering) above my field using ScriptRunner behaviours. For context, I have 3-4 fields with some dynamic requirements, hiding, label removal etc.

I am using customfield.setDescription() to set the description and add some customised div styles to the working to make it bigger and more obvious, however it's still underneath the field option rather than above it.

Ideally I'd like to have my description or some help text above the field similar to a question and answer scenario. Does anyone know whether there is a feature in ScriptRunner i've not yet considered or whether it's just not possible.

Hi @Samuel Stephens ,

using a behaviour you can prepopulate description. You should retrieve field and the set content on field or in the description on the fly.

Something like this :

def descriptionFF = getFieldById("description")
descriptionFF.setHelpText("Your field description here")

Apologies, it may not have been clear what I'm looking for.
I have no issue setting help text as you've described, my issue is that the help text still only shows between the field and the description.

I'd like to be able to put text above the field itself like below:
