Search custom field text - could not find existing data

Hi,

I have simple custom text field (one line) - "Test"

1. I put some test data on one of my Jira issues

2.Trying to search this data from the main search - there are no results

3. Trying to search this from JQL returns the right result - also by clicking enter from the preious page. Confusing behaviour. Main search does not search in custom fields ?

Hi Gal,

I don't the the main search is going to check every single custom field in the organization for a single value. You will need to include the custom field name.
