Is there any option to also use the auto-search above? It would be very helpful (especially for testers) to get an info in case of any similar issue was already entered before...
There is no out of the box jira implementation for this yet. This is a very old feature request and is already logged with atlassian. See this link
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1633
However there are several workarounds for this
Firstly,
The [HP/Palm Jira Search Plugin|plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/338080] has an optional feature that detects duplicate issues as a step during issue creation.(Jeff Kirby, June 2011)
Secondly,
Using the script mentioned in this link
http://blogs.onresolve.com/2010/03/audo-duplicate-search-in-jira/
https://svn.snakebite.net/onresolve/public/download/jechlin/123/AutoDupes.groovy

Hi @Hans-Hermann Hunfeld,
I don't know if you still need a solution for your problem.. here's what I found
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.deniz.jira.similarissue
FYI: I dont work for them, I just think that those plugin is awesome and of course very helpful
And I can't implement what Rahul suggested with that code.. it's not working
Cheers,
Hariz
