Hello,

Which are the cases which cause the refusal of a search (identified by the red icon with the cross to the left of the field of research)?
Thank you !

Hello @Ludovic PLISSON and welcome to Community!

It usually stays red until you've finished your query. For example, my query is not complete:

jql-red.PNGBut once it is, it becomes green:

jql-green.PNGWould you have a particular example to share?

Thanks a lot for your answers !

I wonder what kind of syntax error can trigger the error? (incomplete query and what else?)

For info, I write a small internal memo in French on the search in Jira.

The red cross icon is displayed while the query cannot be executed without throwing an error, therefore not returning any issues.

This usually occurs when there's a syntax error as well as while you are typing a correct JQL, but you have not finished typing it yet.
