Seeing backlog and creating sprint

I'm re-familiarizing myself with Jira (classic not next gen). I've sent up a project for a consumer products web app. I've created a handful of user stories. What I see in front of me is the Kanboard from backlog through Done.

The Atlassian tutorial shows a backlog view with 'Create Sprint' in the upper right corner. Search though I might, I cannot find anything that says 'Create Sprint.; Am I missing something? This is the tutorial I'm looking at.

Never mind. I think I figured it out. I took the Kanban board default template as opposed to Scrum.
