Hi,
I'm using "company-managed project" template and on free jira plan. I was hoping to create a ticketing portal where external (non-jira) emails are escalated as tickets.
Basically all the emails received at support@xyzcompany.com, create tickets on jira board. Most of the senders are non-jira users. So when an issue is commented, those non-jira users do not get a response.
I have assigned a default reporter so that user gets the notifications.
I searched and tried following plugins: Mail Me, Raley Email Notifications etc. But nothing worked.
Liubov had suggested to grab the external email via a custom field here:
I wonder how to get this done, If I can grab the external email (which is visible on the issue description) and assign it to a custom field, I would be able to email the non-jira user via automation rules.
Please point me into the right direction.
TIA
