Send email to a Jira story

Is there a way to send an email to a particular story that will be saved as an attachment?

Hi @Karen Payne , welcome to the community.

Interesting question might I ask exactly what you're used cases or more information about what you were trying to accomplish and why? The reason I ask is there might be a different solution for you depending on your goals.

With that said you can't "send an email to a issue". However you could send an email with a subject referencing the issue key which could end up as a comment in that issue. This could be accomplished in a number of ways and automation might be the best but I'm not 100% sure without understanding more about your situation.

p.s. Can you elaborate if you are on cloud or server instance?

Hello Jack,

For this JIra board, we are creating a story for system request received from our business teams which sometimes good conversation needed for the request.  If I was to save the MS outlook email and attach, it looks like this:

I can take the extra step and print to PDF and attach which then I get a better view.
