Send notofication to linked issue

Hi!

I have been looking for a script which will be sending email notifications to watchers of linked issue. I found exactly what I need at Scriptrunner knowlage base but it's for JIRA Service Desk licese.
Is there any way to modify this script for JIRA Software instance?

Yes, you can just remove the sections that refer to service desk objects - skip the organisations and participants blocks of code.
