Set up project leader email notification

As far as I know this user receives every change in the project. Is it possible to set up which kind of notification project leaders receive?

The notification depends on the configuration of the notification scheme and the event in the workflow, you can refer to:

if you are receiving emails for each issue change check the notification scheme set for your project.

is the project lead being set as the default assignee?
