I'm struggling a little bit with the permissions area of Jira (to me it seems more complex than it needs to be).
I've created a user and for this particular user I want him to have access to only one project. I don't want him to be able to access any other projects. Is this possible and how would I go about setting that up?
1) If Default Permission Schemes are using for a Multiple Projects in your jira application then that user can have access to all those projects because in default scheme says every logged in user can have "browse, create, edit, delete etc.," permissions events.
2) if each jira project is using the different permission schemes then its not a problem you can add him in that project role then that user can access only that particular project.

Dennis,
Add the user in the User Role in that particular project and also make sure they don't belong to a group that has access to all projects.
