Currently, We have a single select custom field (drop down). We want to change that to multi select check boxes. So what we did is, We have created a new custom field as multi select check boxes.
Now, We want to set value for a new field based on old field value.
Ex:
1) If the old field (single select) has value as 'Testing' for an issue, we want to set new field option as 'Testing' for the same issue.
There are more than 1000 issues have value for the old field. So, We would like set the value for new field for all the issues based on existing/old field value. Once this is done. We will have to delete the old field and replace the new field.
Is there a way to do this data backfill operation?
Hi,
bulk change 1000 issues with the value of newly created field then delete the old field
