Setting custom field to predefined URL + Variable

Hi All,

I'm exploring ways of accomplishing this. I'm looking to set a custom field value to a base URL + variable output from another field that's only displayed on the view screen. 

Example:

My base url www.google.com/<variable>

Customer Field (Search): Why do we exist?

My output field will display: www.google.com/Why+Do+We+Exist?

You can not do it out of the box. You would need an add-on like Power Scripts, ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, Workflow Toolbox.
