Setting initiative as parent to story in portfolio?

I have an initiative and multiple teams have to work on it. One of those team have very small piece of work which can be a User story instead of epic. Can I set one initiative as parent to a User Story for one team (project) and as parent to an epic for another team (project)? The idea is to make it visible on scope section under initiative.
