Setting issues to Done or Completed when using the 'Release...' function on Kanban board

On the last column of my board there is a 'Release...' link that is used to set the release version for all the tickets in the column. When I click on this link and input the version number, etc. the tickets disappear from the board as expected, but the status still says 'Ready for Release'.

How can I have it automatically set it to a state of 'Released'?

The board's work mode only shows tickets where Fix Version is empty, of the fix versions are unreleased (by default). So the button is successfully creating and setting versions, hence why they disapear from the board.

However the feature does not conduct any status transitions.
