Setting permissions for free text in "Affected Version" field for all usres

We like that the "Affected Versions" field will be free text and that every user will be able to set new values there.

At the moment, some of our users can enter free text there, but other are not able to.

We were looking for the relevant permission flag for that, but we didn't find it yet.

Hi @Itay Keller,

To be able to add a new version on the fly, users need the project administration permission. That's not very precise, so if you'd like to get a more granular permission, you can watch this issue and vote for it: Allow disabling "on the fly" creation of new components and/or versions.

the Affect Version is actually used together with your Releases.

 If you really need a free text field, I recommend you use a Custom Field.
