I have read several threads on this topic without finding what I would like to see as a solution.
The problem we have experienced is:
This confuses the new user and they report it to the JIRA Administrator as a "Bug in JIRA".
The JIRA Administrator then has to explain to the new user that it is not a Bug but a default setting and show the user how to set the Issue Navigator to List View.
What I would like to see as a solution is an Option in the System>>General Configuration>>Settings screen to allow the JIRA Administrator to set Default Issue Navigator View to 'List view' or 'Detail view'.
Either that or have the default Issue Navigator view set to List View when JIRA is installed as based on what I have read in these threads, most users seem to prefer List View.
If there is any other way to set the default view for the Issue Navigator, or if this is available in a later version, please let me know.
