Using my copy of Jira, I'm teaching a client how to use it to run her projects. So she started using it for a few miscellaneous projects she has.
However, beginning in January or February, she will be embarking on a rather large, long-term project. As such, I created a project for her where she's entered about a dozen backlog items.
She'll be getting her own version of Jira soon and I started to wonder if she should perhaps refrain from entering too much backlog if she's only going to have to retype it in her own version. Or can she keep working and when she gets her copy, download the backlog and upload it to hers? I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't do any throwaway work.
Hi @Jim Stewart ,
If she will have her own copy, it should be identical in version as yours. Otherwise, there will be issue.
It would be better to start entering new backlog items in the new Jira if it's coming soon.
Here's a link regarding bringing over projects from one Jira to another:
