Sharing filter via email, error in mail queue

Hi. I have an issue with the latest version of JIRA. For some reason when I try to share a filter with a user they never receive an email and an error appears in the mail queue in JIRA.

Notifications work fine for issues raised, updated, commented on etc.

I checked the logs and supposedly dont have permission to send as the user.

I'm using Exchange 2010 and all email communication (inbound and outbound from JIRA) works fine, other than when trying to share filters.

Can someone help. I'm assuming email for sharing filters works slightly different to notifications for issues. Can someone help me get to the bottom of this.

And interestingly it seems to be an issue with a new email account I created specifically for JIRA notifications and configured for authentication within the mail server configuration.

 

A few years ago I created a postmaster account and if I change it back to this I can then share filters with anyone and they receive the email suggesting I shared it.

 

This suggests to me I must have configured my postmaster email account in such a way that worked for sharing filters, but I cannot remember what I done :-(
