I have a software project that has dependencies/work across several other software projects. When I look at the work in timeline view, I can only see the child tasks from the main board nested under the epics. For example, in the screenshot below, there actually 30 child tasks attached to this epic, but I can only see the 5 child tasks that are from the same board as the epic.
Is there a setting to allow me to see all child issues under an epic in timeline view even if they are from a different board?
Welcome to Atlassian Community
Timeline view is project specific. It's not possible to show issues from Cross projects.
You can try using Plans/Advanced Roadmap if you are looking to have multiple project issues.
Let me know if this helps!
Hope this reference document help understanding Plans in more detail

Hi Trevin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
This is not currently available to see sub-tasks on the timeline view for a project, but you can vote for and follow the request here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18677
Or you can upgrade to a Premium subscription and use Plans which would give you multiple projects AND sub-tasks.
