Show portion of burnt down story points on incomplete story carried over to new sprint

When a story is not completed in a sprint, how do I show how many points have been burnt in this sprint and how do I carry over the remainder of the points to the next sprint?

Like the burndown question, the short answer is you don't. Story points only count as complete when the entire story is complete. If the team did not complete the story in the current sprint all of the points go to the next sprint. 

If you are looking to track "completeness" of a story then I suggest adding time tracking and estimates to the stories as well as sprints. This will allow you to track percent compete and roll up to a SPI and/or CPI if you are using EMV, help with capacity planning, etc.,  while keeping your team's velocity accurate based on the total points completed.
