I am a new administrator of JIRA.

There are three scrum boards and each has about 4  epics. There is no sprint anywhere.  All the 12 epics, each with a distinct colored tag, seem to show up in the backlog all together regardless which board you are viewing.  How can I just see the epics created when I cam looking at each board ?  I don't want to see other epics that don't belong to the board that I am looking at.

Thanks,

Humphrey

@Humphrey Chan, the 3 boards need a criteria to differ between board A, B or C. When creating a new Epic, it is caught by every board.

What you can do:

Create 3 components, A, B and C. When creating an Epic the components field has to be mandatory. Then you alter the board filter of each of the 3 boards. Extend the query with an 'AND component = A' and so on.

Anyway I cannot recommend what you plan to do. Having more than 1 Scrum Board assigned to one Jira project is not optimal and will lead sooner or later to confusion.
