Showing status of a sub-task , sub-task summary , link summary and link status

Srinivas July 26, 2022

I am working on creating a Filter where I can see the following things

- Key (Parent Issue)

- Summary

- Sub-Task

-product

- Status of Sub-Task

-summary of sub-task

-link summary

-link status

I have completed the 1st four using the Filter-Results card but unable to get the status of Sub-Tasks, sub-task summary , link summary and link status Is there any work around for that? Thanks
Is there any way I could show each sub-task in a different line with all the properties defined above?

Could you please help on this.?

Thanks

Hi, @Srinivas.  Welcome to the community.

I prefer the "teach a person to fish" method (vs. handing them a fish).  I hope this works for you.  🙂

In fact, AFAIK you cannot do what you describe with Jira out-of-the-box. However, if this a requirement for you, as is suggested by the other answers, it can be done with a number of Atlassian Marketplace apps (apps that add additional functionality to Jira).

If this is the case for you, head over to the Atlassian Marketplace and try searching for Jira apps, on cloud, that offer "custom hierarchy."

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira&query=custom%20hierarchy

Hope this helps,

-dave

Full Disclosure: I work for an app vendor that makes such an app, too. It's call Structure. *But* the search I suggest will show more than Structure.  I also published an article about searching for the right/best Jira add-ons which you may find helpful.

Hi @Srinivas

If you are fine with a mktplace app, you can have a look at our add-on to get this data -

Issue Hierarchy Reports

and generate insights such as:

- View the full Jira Issue Type hierarchy of Linked issues,
Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps, Epics, and Subtasks up to 10 levels.

- % complete based on time spent and story points at each hierarchy level

- Sum up Time Spent, Org Estimate, Time Rmng, custom number
fields

Hi @Srinivas

The first thing that comes to mind with what you are trying to display is that the app JXL could help. You mention showing the issues on different lines, and JXL allows you to filter and display issues in a spreadsheet like view. You can find in on the Marketplace
