Simple Resource Allocation using JIRA and Confluence

Siva R

Here is a Simple Resource Allocation page, without using any plugins.

1. Create a new confluence page like "Summary of the Day - Bugs - 14- Jun -2018"

2. Insert a Table with 3 columns and one row for each team member

  • Header name : Bug Fixing Team
  • Team Member Name: Click on + button on the top menu and select "Insert JIRA Issue/Filter"
  • In Progress JQL could be like " Labels = YourLable AND Assignee = AssigneeName And Status Not In (Product Approval or Done Issues)
  • Done JQL could be like " Labels = YourLabel AND Assignee = AssigneeName And Status In (Product Approval or Done Issues)

If any team member has 0 issues In Progress, that means he needs work allocation.

Please make any suggestions to improve my process.

@Siva R Looks like a neat solution.  If you have a lot of team members it could be a lot of work upfront but could pay dividends down the road as you manage your team.
