Since 8.5 upgrade, removal of issue from sprint is not reflected in burndown chart

Hi everyone,

We are wondering if burndown chart logic has changed in Jira 8 at all?

We removed two JIRA items from our sprint in order to give space to three others. The burndown however only went up and the removal of these items was not reflected.

After we added the items for which we made space, the burndown only went up. We do not see "Issue removed from Sprint" in the list of actions below the burndown chart.

Before the upgrade to Jira 8.5 (we were previously on Jira 7.13), we were able to remove e.g. 3 points from the sprint to add another 3 points: both would be reflected in the burndown and the scope change would be 0%. Now our statistics are incorrect. Has something changed in Jira 8?

I just met the same problem. And i found this one may help: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-14984

It looks like a known bug since 2016, and there is no effective resolutions for now. Hope they could fix this ASAP.
