Slack App Weekly Updates

Currently our PMO sends out a weekly e-mail that pulls the last comment from our projects and formats them into an email. The email has a low open rate... as with a lot of companies these days most communications we do are done in Slack... has anyone found any good Slack apps (outside of the JIRA Server App) that provide good "weekly snapshots" to be posted in a channel?
