Hello,
Here's the question:
How can I get Jira Cloud to scan it's backfilled database of smart commits and update tickets in a project I migrated from Jira Server?
Here's some context:
I'm migrating projects from Jira Server to Jira Cloud.
In Jira Server project tickets have "Development" links to Github activities (commits, PRs, ...) that were created as a result of smart commits in Github.
When the project is migrated to Jira Cloud, those "Development" links are not retained.
I have installed Github for Jira on our Jira Cloud instance and it has backfilled the Jira Cloud database with smart commit info from our repos.
For an existing Jira Cloud projects, if I do a Github commit with a smart commit tag, it properly updates the Jira ticket.
The problem is when I migrate a project from Jira Cloud to Jira Server. In this case any Development links in tickets coming from Jira Server aren't retained when those tickets are created in Jira Cloud.
So the question is: how can I get Jira Cloud to scan it's backfilled database of smart commits and update tickets in a project I migrated from Jira Server?
