Curious what solutions people have used for installations where you have users create issues via email (without accounts/licensing) to keep those people that are creating issues in the loop on activity?
I know there is the 'email this issue' plugin.
Has anyone developed their own custom actions/workflows to do this? Have you provided RSS feeds and/or instruct clients to 'pull' the project/issue view themselves?
Or ... even added licensing for the email-based users
We're a small development team with a client-base that varies by workflow (mostly internal).
TIA,
Jason
JEMH provides two routes to creating users that 'dont count', each has merits:
a) create JIRA accounts but without right to use so they don't count to your license (also can't login, but can interact by email)
b) not create JIRA accounts at all and store email addresses in custom fields, JEMH can notify these users from specific events via the integrated Issue Event Listener.
