Some Done tickets do not disappear after sprint ends in multiproject board

Hi,

I have 2 projects: project A and project B. I also have 2 boards related to the projects : Board 1 and board 2.

Board 1 contains ONLY project A tickets. Board 2 contains project B tickets and some project A tickets (depending on the value of a custom field). I include some project A tickets in the sprint of board 2. The problem is that project A tickets do not disappear from the sprint backlog when they are done. They just remain in the done column in subsequest sprints. Project B tickets done tickets do disappear once the sprint is over.

Tickets from both projects have different Done statuses, but both are mapped in the column most to the right on the board 2 status mapping configuration.

Any ideas on why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Hi there,

Check the workflow of the issues. We want the resolution field to be set in the step to the last status, rigthmost column.

can you show us an example ticket that is still in the backlog? What issue type is

Hi @Lisa Forstberg ,

I can confirm that is already the case. The resolution is set in the transition to Done /Terminé for both prejects' tickets.

Hey @Iana

Have you checked that the issues from Project A are having their resolution set when they enter the Done column?

You can do this either via transition post-functions, automations or on a transition screen.

Hi @Jovin

Yes, project A issues have their resolution set when they enter the Done status.

Good to know - can you confirm the blow:

  1. Is the board that's having issues a Sprint or Kanban?
  2. Can you confirm in the settings of the board (via the Configure Board button) that either:
    1. The JQL query has "resolved >= -7d" (as an example, don't show issues resolved more than a week ago)
    2. OR, that you have the setting at the bottom of the General page for Configure Board set to a value other than "Never mind, show all" (see picture below)

Hi again,

1. Both boards are Sprint boards. But board 1 doesn't create any sprints on its own. All its tasks are in the product backlog until they are moved into a board 2 sprint.

2. The filter doesn't contain anything regarding resolved date. Here's the filter : project = QSN OR project = DSN AND Equipe = "Equipe Support" ORDER BY Classement ASC

I don't have the completed issues part on my board configuration. Maybe it's exclusive to Kanban boards.
