Some Team managed Projects not added as source in Plan

Ravee Sundar January 29, 2024

When I created a new Team Managed Project and added as the issue source in to Plan settings of a Timeline project, it shows up correctly in Top-level planning.

I tried to add an existing Team managed project or a filter as issue source. It is not even saving the project source or filter and hence not displaying in timeline.

Hello @Ravee Sundar
Forgive me for not identifying the product correctly, but if it is the old Advanced Road map ("Plans" option available in Premium) Atlassian has some limitations in relation to Team managed Projects.
Custom fields used in the filter, for example, are exclusive to the project where they were created.
Follow the link about Limitations of team-managed projects in your plan.

If it's not what you're looking for, could you provide more details?

Hope I helped you!

Hi Luiz - Thank you for your quick response.

I creatd a new Jira company managed software project.

In its Advanced Roadmap feature, I tried to add an exising Team managed Project as its source. Also, I created a filter to show a newly created epic in the same Team managed project. I added this filter as a source as well. The filter contains basic fields and there are no custom fields. The project never gets added to the source. Meaning, when i exit out of the issue source page and return back, the source is not retaining the project source and it disappears. Whereas, the filter persists but the epic that's the result of the filter, does not show up in the plan.

When I create a new Team or company managed software project, this issue does not happen. We have 15+ old Team Managed project that we want to show in the Advanced Road map.

Hi Luiz - Any update on this issue? If not, how to reach out to the suppor team for a meeting to resolve this issue?
