Hi there!
I'm having a bit of weird behavior when I search for let's say, all stories in the last 4 months. Intuitively one would think the "To Do" statuses would be first, "In progress" statuses would be second, and "Done" status would be last. However, even when you sort by ascending or descending it doesn't all seem to line up. It does mostly work, but for my purposes it would be really helpful if I could make sure all of the stories were actually sorted in some way. Is there a way to do this? I currently have 7 statuses on this team-managed board I am using. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello @Logan Cummins
Take a look at the accepted answer on this post.
It seems like the statuses in a Team Managed project are ordered based on the order in which they were created within the workflow. To change how that sorts it seems like you would have to recreate the statuses in the workflow in the appropriate order.
I'm not sure how the sorting works if you are looking at different statuses in different workflows within the same Team Managed project.
I don't know if this problem justifies additional tooling for you, but just to put it out there: If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would work as expected in the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira:
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Of course, JXL works for team-managed as well as company-managed projects.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
